Last weekend, Cassie and I made the journey to Boone, NC to photograph my dear friend Meg and her soon-to-be husband, Andrew. Meg and I have been friends since high school; she’s a few years older than I so naturally I looked up to her. She always had the best hair and a good sense of style, she was wild at heart and was always down for an adventure. I always tried to get her to teach me some of her dance moves, but I was, and always will be too much of a ballerina. Meg moved to Boone a few years after graduating from high school and began pursuing her degree in Graphic Design. While at Appalachian she met Andrew, her knight in shining armor and he swept her off her feet. They got engaged last fall right before my wedding and I was thrilled to meet Andrew for the first time at our reception. I can’t believe their wedding is only a few weeks away & I get to capture the most important day of their lives. What an incredible honor! Meg is SO super creative & from the things she and her lovely mom have been sharing with me, her wedding is going to be a dream to photograph. I do know that the location is one of my favorite wedding locations ever; a field overlooking the vast North Carolina mountains. The incredible view happens to be within walking distance of Meg and Andrew‘s quiet little mountain cottage. We chose to start their mini engagement session in this field since this is where they will say their vows and become husband and wife. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do. We had a blast adventuring together!
