There are few things that warm my heart like a gorgeous bride in her wedding gown. Photographing a bride’s portraits always reminds me of the day I got my bridal portraits taken & how special that window of time was for me and my mom. We laughed, cried, layed in the grass, fought off mosquitos and other annoying bugs and made lots of memories along the way. I will never forget it.
Spending the afternoon with Emily, her mom and sister brought me back to those familiar moments. As I watched her mom adjust her dress and glance at her beautiful “baby girl” I couldn’t help but flash back to my mom doing the very same thing for me, with tears in her eyes.
I’m so honored to share these moments with my clients; moments that really matter and shape us into the people we were made to be. Every ounce of sweat, every bug bite, every sore muscle and achy feeling is totally worth it when you get to take a step back and see moments in people’s lives and how simply beautiful they are.
It was at least 100 degrees outside during Emily’s session and it had rained for weeks before. We had rescheduled 3 times and this time, there was no room for rainouts, it was a week before her big day. I’m absolutely in love with these photos. It was so hard to pick my favorites to share and even harder to pick the ones she used for her actual framed bridal portrait. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location! And, I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful bride to photograph!Emily- Thank you, thank you, thank you for choosing me to share in this adventure with you, your family, & Jonathan. What an exciting honor to play a role in documenting your story. You were a drop dead gorgeous bride and always will be a beautiful woman inside and out. It’s such a joy to be your photographer and friend!
